ELKRIDGE, Maryland — Three teenagers were arrested following armed robbery and police chase early Thursday, Howard County police said.
A call was reported around 5 a.m. to the 800 block of Stamford Road, according to the Baltimore City police, where a man was robbed at gunpoint by three juveniles.
Howard County police said officers spotted a stolen Ford F-150 truck around 5:40 a.m. that had just been involved in an armed robbery in Baltimore. When the officers tried to conduct a traffic stop, the driver sped off, police said.
The officers followed the truck for some time until the truck crashed on the ramp from Maryland Route 100 to Interstate 95 and three suspects bailed out, police said.
After a brief search, police said all three suspects were taken into custody and turned over to Baltimore police.
City police said the three arrested, Shazcarl Henderson, Qwante Jackson and Andre Simms are 17-year-old boys. They were charged with robbery, armed robbery, 1st – and 2nd-degree assault and motor vehicle theft.
