The Sony Vision-S might not be a readily available car. With the showcasing in Las Vegas last month, the tech giant, Sony, is showcasing what they can do with auto development.
While the majority of cars and trucks are standard ICE’s, the EV revolution is quickly speeding up. With most large-name car manufacturers now offering an electric line, the time of fuel is nearing its end.
What is surprising about this new age of automobiles is that the industry is starting to see unexpected companies throw their hand in the ring. Sony, for one, was not on everyone’s radar.
With the automotive industry moving out of combustion engines, the move towards technology is where so many are now looking.
With standard ICE technology now in the hands of the tech industry, innovation moves faster. This is what we are seeing with the New Vision-S.
The Vision-S isn’t a publicly available vehicle. Although a model has been created to showcase the tech-giants ability, they still have a long way to go.
The EV weighs over 5,000 lbs. Which is heavier than most EVs out right now. The vehicle can go from 0-60 in 4.8 seconds. It can also reach up to 145 miles per hour.

The car itself can turn heads. An interesting scope, with so many tech companies looking into the automotive industry, the influence of big-oil is low. This allows most companies to have total control as to the design of their cars. With many standard ICE cars putting their new models out, the designs aren’t looking as appealing as ICE’s.
Now that the tech industry is behind the wheel, electric cars can outperform all ICE’s. Where the fastest cars have 1000 + horsepower, electric cars are already there.
The future of the automotive industry is looking to be in the hands of tech giants. With traditional vehicles now starting to catch up to the industry – it’s looking like they might need to speed up the process.
