Chevrolet is planning to price the 2022 Silverado ZR. The base MSRP is rumoring to be pegged at $65,150. Plus add the $1,695 destination charge. Thus you may end up with $66,795 for what is considering the most off-road capable Silverado one can buy from the Chevrolet factory. The pickup does fit Multimatic DSSV spool-valve shocks and matched springs. It does provide two inches of lift that is compared to a standard Silverado. In fact, it is just like the less expensive Chevrolet Silverado Trail Boss. However, it is really with more suspension travel and comfort than the Trail Boss.
However, there are front and rear locking differentials, skid plates, 11.2 inches of ground clearance, 33-inch tires on unique wheels, and a Terrain Mode for one-pedal backwoods driving. Also, a front bumper with removable end caps and shape does provide an excellent approach angle. In addition, relocated exhaust tips, that should, in fact, stay out of the way of remodeling obstacles on the trail. Therefore, the only configuration will be a crew cab with a short bed. Plus, a 6.2-liter V8 that makes 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, that shifts through a 10-speed automatic.
Chevrolet Silverado ZR2
The 2022 Silverado ZR2 does cost $995 more than the 2021 Raptor. It does start at $65,840 after destination. The Raptor’s 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 does make up more power than the Chevy. Also, its twin-pipe grumble does represent the 450 hp and 510 lb-ft of torque.
In fact, the Ram TRX is considered to be out of the Chevrolet Silverado’s ZR2 league in some ways. The Ram has a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 doing 702 hp and 650 lb-ft. Also, the Ram does also start at about $5,400 more than the ZR2. It would require $72,120 after destination just to open the door.
