Kia is the sister brand of Hyundai. It has hit a tremendous stride as it goes on to refresh and expand its product lineup. Moreover, it creates attractive vehicles which are selling well. They are full of competitive content at a competitive price. Tech, design, safety, usability, drivability, and value do permeate the lineup. The performance-focused N vehicles are a lot of fun to hustle around in, too. Hyundai, its sister brand Kia, and now its growing luxury marque Genesis is going to enter the golden age.
Kia EV6 2022 – All-Electric Nameplate
There is promising momentum which is building at the same time as a big shift in the automotive industry. Hyundai’s internal combustion-powered vehicles are going to hit that aforementioned stride. The Korean automaker does keep the hits coming in the EV age. The 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5, is the brand’s first and dedicated all-electric nameplate.
Electric Global Modular Platform
The first EV built on Hyundai’s new Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) has promise. It is labeled a crossover by carmaker Hyundai. In fact, it may be more recognizable as a large hatchback. Therefore, it is a unique, eye-catching styling. Obviously, it meant to advertise its futuristic. It had an electric personality. It does not actually look geeky. The vehicle does have sporty proportions. It is a wheelbase that is longer than that of the Palisade. Moreover, there are short overhangs, complicated wheels, flush door handles, plus a striking slash of a character line. It does have a splashy but organized lighting front and rear. In fact, even its exterior color palette has white, two grays, and a black, with the two “colorful” options. These include Digital Teal and Lucid Blue. It does only stray slightly from grayscale.
Distinctive Twist on Minimalism
Inside, the things get even more different. It has a unique twist on minimalism. Therefore, it goes on to define electric vehicles. There is a two-spoke, flat-bottom steering wheel. It does not sport a central badge. It has a wide rim to expand the view of the 12-inch digital table-style instrumental screen behind it. Also, to the right of that screen, in the same rectangular housing, is the 12-inch infotainment touchscreen. Moreover, there are interior lines. They are very horizontal. It is from the dash to the vents to the armrests.
