Moving can be a big undertaking at any time, no matter the distance of the move, but it is especially hard work when the move is a long distance one. That is why we are here to help ease some of the moving issues for you by handling your car on the move. We will ship your car quickly and easily and can plan your shipment to work well with your moving schedule. While we will do the heavy lifting when it comes to shipping your vehicles, there are some things you can do beforehand to help ease the shipping process.
Wash Your Vehicle
Washing your vehicle before shipping it is a gamechanger. It allows you to accurately look over your vehicle for any damage that is worthy of noting before the shipping begins. It is important to know the condition of your vehicle prior to shipping and make note of any damage that may exist on your vehicle so that you can differentiate and see any damage that may arise during the auto shipping process!
Take Pictures of Your Car’s Features
Even though we have an auto shipping safety guarantee for any vehicle that is shipped with us, we highly recommend taking pictures of your car prior to shipping just for precaution. Take a picture of the condition overall and get close up shots of anything worth noting. Furthermore, you can take a picture of your odometer so that you can have a record of the miles shown before shipping as well.
Remove Accessories and Loose Items
Anything that you added on to your car after initially purchasing it should be removed. This would be any sort of antenna, luggage rack, ski rack, etc. This will just make the shipping process go smoother as our driver would be removing them from the vehicle anyway. Furthermore, remove or secure down any loose items. These could rattle around in your car which could lead to damage to the interior of your car if allowed during shipping.
Check Levels of Important Things
You will want to have a gas tank with no more than ¼ full of a tank of gas before you ship it. Additionally, you will want to confirm the oil and other fluids from under the hood are at good levels.
