How long does it take for my car to be delivered?

Auto transport timeframes depend on many factors, such as distance, road conditions and closures, weather, carrier availability, and more. For short-distance hauls, it usually takes 1-3 days, and for cross-country moves, it can take up to 7-10 days.

Yes, you can. However, there is a weight limit of up to 100 pounds for personal items shipped with your vehicle, usually packed in a single box or luggage. Let your carrier know about your plans in advance. Note that your personal items are not covered by insurance during transit, and there is always a risk of damage. With expedited auto transport, we prioritize your vehicle to be picked up as as soon as possible. Transit time will remain the same; the only thing that will change is the pickup window.

Yes, your vehicle is insured during transport by the auto transport carrier’s cargo insurance, which covers damages that occur while the vehicle is being transported on a carrier. Either you or your representative should be present both at pickup and delivery to hand the keys to the driver. It’s also important to take notes of the initial condition of the car for personal records. Upon delivery, you or your representative must sign the Bill of Lading. Your representative can be anyone over the age of 18.
 
Ideally, it is best to arrange your car shipment one month in advance, especially during peak seasons, holidays and university moves. This ensures carrier availability and the best pricing. Also plan early if you are moving a specialty vehicle, like oversized machinery, exotic car or motorhome.
 
We always try to arrange door-to-door pickup and delivery whenever legally and physically possible. In case your location is inaccessible for a car carrier, we can arrange a terminal-to-terminal transport or pick up and deliver your car as close to your home as possible.
 
The Bill of Lading is the legal document that includes your vehicle’s pre-shipment condition report and your contact information, as well as serves as an official contract for car shipping. If in the future you have any claim regarding the transport, this document will serve as a basis. Make sure to thoroughly inspect your vehicle at delivery before signing the Bill of Lading.
